Boracay.....colours of life abound on this Philippine island where all walks of life enjoy each others company. Here Nature holds on to what is hers where the unexpected and a little bit of crazy are alive and well. I have visited Boracay for so many years I have lost count, always going in early December to catch the winds which last for several months. Bulabog Beach, Boracay, has and continues to offer me a safe bay to progress my windsurfing skills from a wide eyed novice staying close to home to an excited explorer all powered up and planing across the bay off towards the reef. On Bulabog Beach I met Simone, a lady full of spirit and a true windsurfing professional, and her team of highly skilled, kind and polite Filipinos. All continued to encourage and teach me to push on through those windsurfing plateaus to reach the next level. Both Simone and her windsurfing team have participated in and won many island competitions. Simone has and continues to run a very well managed center where good quality modern day windsurfing equipment can be rented and where safety, care and consideration are top priorities. The center also offers an excellent café offering healthy homemade breakfasts and lunches using island produce purchased daily. Here a group of Filipinas welcome you with a smile, remember your name and are very concerned for your health and wellbeing. There is also an internet facility.
Simone's teams are much more than employees at a windsurfing center, they form an incredible family and a family who welcomes everyone and once welcomed you are never forgotten.
