Sad news for kitesurfing on Boracay
One of the best entertainment and viewy sports in the world as kitesurfing has been removed from the Olympic programme for Rio 2016. This is a huge disappointment for all the kitesurfers worldwide who have been training hard since it was announced last May that kitesurfing was going to take part in the Olympic games. What a shame too for all the windsurfers who spent the last year training to compete in kitesurfing. Boracay Island has also support local kiteboarders to make their biggest dream reality. A bitter blow for everybody involved...
Just a cold comfort: :Windsurfing has reclaimed its place in the Olympics, after the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) voted to reinstate it. But there should be room for both sports in the Olympics.
